Destination Canada Education is an online job fair for the education sector – early childhood educators, primary and secondary school teachers (kindergarten to grade 12), teachers of French as a second language
This fair is organized by the Réseau de développement économique et d’employabilité (RDÉE Canada) and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC).
Destination Canada Education Fair is for French-speaking and bilingual candidates with training and experience in early childhood education, primary or secondary school teaching or teaching of French as a second language, who are seeking opportunities in Canada (outside Quebec)
Participation is free but by invitation only. It is open to persons already in Canada with permanent resident status or a work permit as well as to persons abroad. To participate, you need to register first and upload your CV in Canadian format. A bilingual CV, in French and English, will give you more visibility with the Anglophone school boards and language schools.
At Destination Canada Education, you can connect online with Canadian employers and apply for the jobs posted on the website.
The school boards, daycare centres and language schools recruiting at the fair will set up interviews by chat or videoconferencing with the candidates whose profiles meet the requirements for the jobs posted.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about the steps in the process to obtain accreditation in order to work as an educator or as a primary or secondary school teacher in Canada.
You will also be able to exchange with representatives from Canada’s provinces and territories and French-speaking communities. They will tell you about their regions and communities, and present their education system and specific immigration programs. They will also answer questions about life in French in Canada (outside Quebec).
Information will also be available about bridging programs in education and early childhood education for those interested in pursuing training in Canada.
You will also be able to attend conferences which will give you an overview of the education sector in Canada, teaching in and of French and early childhood services. In addition, you will find information on procedures to work in Canada, either on a temporary or a permanent basis.
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
